The inventor of Mouse Doug Engelbart is no more, at the age of 88

We are deeply saddened to announce to passing of our Founder and long-time Director, Doug Englbart, this July 2nd at the age of 88.He leaves a rich legacy of past accomplishments, and his novel thinking will inspire for generations to come.

Computing visionary Douglas C. Engelbart, Ph.D, passed away peacefully at his home in Atherton, California on July 2,2013. He was 88 years old.

Engelbart's work is the very foundation of personal computing and the Internet. His vision was to solve humanity's most important problems by using computers to improve communication and collaboration. He was world famous for his invention of the computer mouse and the origins of interactive computing.

Doug Engelbart was born on January 30 1925 in Portland. He study Electrical Engineering and during 2'nd World War he play his role as Radar technician.
